  Hugh and four sons arrived in Quebec City on June 5, 1829; his wife arrived in 1832. They may have lived in the Ottawa area before coming to Toronto Gore, but the 1837 Toronto Directory does show Hugh Morrison in Toronto Gore at that time. His brother, William, had been in the Toronto Gore area since c1830, so Hugh may have also come directly there. St Marys Anglican Cemetery Listing Chinguacousy Twp: #82 - William Morrison, who departed this life Sept 21, 1848, aged 39 years; Ann Morrison, departed this life Sept 21, 1848, aged 78 years; Hugh Morrison, departed this life Oct 2, 1848, aged 78 years (church records say 1847); also his daughter, Sarah J., departed this life May 20, 1842 aged 1 year and 6 months. Name: Although some records show Hugh as having a middle name 'William', I have not found any records showing him with a middle name.
