  My aunt, Nora (Allen) Allan, boarded with Mima when Nora taught at Greenwood School in the Soo c1932. Per Mary (McLean) Allen-Mima Allen, daughter of Wm & Rebecca Allen, married Benjamin Beemer. Their first home was on the SW corner lot in Patton Township. They farmed and had 5 children (2 boys died as young children). Ben died in 1924 and Mima married George Farmer, a lay preacher, in Sault Ste Marie. They lived in the Soo on a farm directly across Peoples Road from what is now (1993) known as Martin's Veneer, formely Weyerhauser or Roddis. After George Farmer died in 1942, Mima lived with her brother Sam Allen, who had been widowed. Mima and Sam lived on the 3rd Line in the Soo. In the late 40's or 50's, Mima went to Toronto and lived with her daughter, Thirza Beemer Carson (Mrs Lorne) on 150 Madison Ave, where she died.
