  Rathwell/Rothwell - Mary says that the family spelled the name with an 'a' in southern Ontario but changed it to an 'o' in northern Ontario. ------------------------------------------- The exact date is unknown, but Rebecca apparently followed William later to Algoma. One daughter died in April 1880 (Sophia), so I am guessing that she arrived after the birth of another daughter, born in April 1881. She must have had quite a trip with her children, including a young baby and all of their belongings. They travelled to Blind River by boat from Owen Sound and were greeted by Ed Warnock and some Indian helpers who had been sent by William to bring Rebecca, the children and all their belongings to their home in Gladstone Township. -------------------------------------------- (Medical):As per death certificate
