  		Allen Century Farm Lot 12, Conc 11 Arthur Twp, Wellington Co, Ontario, Canada John Forbes Allen had the original Patent. It was passed to his sons, John Ernest & Alfred, and then passed to John Ernest's son, Harry. It was recognized as a Century Farm in 1967. In 1981, Nora (Allen) Allan/Jeffrey and her daughter, Joy visited the farm and met Harry and his wife.

  Baptism Record: Sponsors: Wm Allen, John R Allen, Eliz Morrison. From 'From Then Till Now-A History of Arthur Township' Mr. John [E.] Allen and his brother [Alfred] owned 100 acres, S1/2 of Lot 12, Conc 11. In the early 1900's they bought 200 acres adjoining their farm to the north from Mr. James McLellan and son. A frame barn was built in 1906. When John Allen died in 1935, and Alfred in 1936, 150 acres went to John's son, Harry and 150 acres to another son Morrison (Mott) N1/4, Lot 12, and S1/2, Lot 11.
