  Missionary On Marriage Certificate to JC Morrison she is noted as having never been married before, but her name is Lavada Roberts Leonard. Her father's last name is just "Roberts". Not sure why the addition of "leonard" to her name, but it is used on all her legal documents. On 1900 Census she is listed as a pupil in a Little Pine Creek, Madison, North Carolina, USA school with many other pupils - her last name here is Roberts. Perhaps an adoption? On 1910 Census she is listed as Lavada R Leonard with parents of James & Maria Leonard
