  Obituary - ALLEN, Mary Isobel With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Mary passed away peacefully at Golden Birches Terrace in Blind River on May 28, 2019 at the age of 86. She has joined her husband, the late Harvey Allen (2008). Cherished mother of Michael (the late Cathy), Terry (Carolyn), Mary-Jo Davies (the late Bill) and Lorraine Swanson (Don). Missed by her grandchildren Mark, Glen (Marley), Ben, Amanda, Chris (Jenna) and Matt (Alissa) and her step grandchildren Laura, Chris and Stephen as well as her many great grandchildren. Remembered by her sister Nancy Collins (Jim) and her many treasured nieces and nephews. A special thank you to family, friends and neighbours for keeping Mom safe, happy and at home for many years. Also, thank you to Dr. Snajdrova and the staff at North Shore Health Network-Blind River and Golden Birches for their care and compassion. If desired the family appreciates donations to the Iron Bridge United Church. Friends and family are invited to visit at Menard Funeral Home in Blind River on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 7pm until 9pm. Funeral services will be held from the Iron Bridge United Church on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 beginning at 11am with Marilyn Billings officiating. Interment at Spruce Grove Cemetery. Light luncheon at the Iron Bridge United Church to follow interment.
