It was stated that there was a boy, Reuben Arthur, aged 3 1/2 years. The petitioners statement was, "My husband deserted me immediately after we were married at Wollongong, over four years ago. I sued my said husband for maintenance in October 1891, and obtained an order for 1 pound per week. I got out a sencond order for 15/- a week in about Nov./Dec. 1892, an order he did not comply with. I got out a warrant for his arrest, which the police have been unable to serve. I have no knowledge as to my husbands whereabouts, and whether he is in this colony or not."
