3918 Edward married Sarah Evans in 1862 in Cartwright Township, County of Durham. Edward Armstrong was a farmer all his life. He lived in Nestleton, for most of his life. In 1871 he was living in Tay Township, Simcoe County.

Sarah Evans had family living here. Some of Ed and Sarah`s children were born in Tay Township. Edward Armstrong left a will in which he named all of his children with their married names. Edward died of pneumonia in 1893. Several people had died of pneumonia within 3 weeks. Edward and Sarah and most of their children are buried in Cartwright United Church in Nestleton, Ontario. One of Ed`s great-great granddaughters` husband is the superintendant of the cemetery.
