In 1871 he was living in Tay Township, Simcoe County. Sarah Evans had family living here. Some of Ed and Sarah`s children were born in Tay Township. Edward Armstrong left a will in which he named all of his children with their married names. Edward died of pneumonia in 1893. Several people had died of pneumonia within 3 weeks. Edward and Sarah and most of their children are buried in Cartwright United Church in Nestleton, Ontario.
